Baked feta pasta has become the latest food trend on social media. It consists of baked feta, tomatoes, herbs and freshly cooked pasta. Ever seen or tried this food trend?

What you need (2 people):
- 1 block feta
- 1 red onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 200g chopped tomatoes
- 200g whole tomatoes
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil
- 250g pasta
- 1 handful fresh basil
What to do:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (with fan).
Spread out the chopped tomatoes in a baking dish.
Peel the onion and cut into fine strips. Peel and crush the garlic. Add both to the chopped tomatoes.
Cut the tomatoes in half, if necessary, add them along with the herbs and mix everything roughly.
Place the feta in the centre and drizzle the oil over everything.
Bake for about 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta, saving and setting aside a ladle of pasta water when you drain it.
When everything has finished baking, add the pasta and pasta water to tomato-feta mixture and mix well.
Sprinkle with freshly chopped basil.
